The MFP7E10-N050 complies with IEC 61754-7 (MPO connector family), GR-1435, and ANSI/TIA/EIA 604-5. It uses 8 active multimode fibers (50/125µm OM4) with APC 8° polish. The Type-B crossover wiring ensures correct Tx-to-Rx alignment per transceiver pinouts. Suitable for InfiniBand NDR, 400GbE, and NVLink protocols when used with compatible optical modules (MMA4Z00-NS, MMA1Z00-NS).
In a twin-port OSFP 800G transceiver, two 4-lane optical interfaces transmit and receive over separate fibers. The MFP7E10-N050 uses a Type-B crossover scheme: fiber 1 at end A connects to fiber 12 at end B, fiber 2 to fiber 11, etc. This ensures that the transmit laser from lane 1 aligns with the photodetector of lane 12 at the far end. The 8° angled polish (APC) directs any reflected light away from the laser cavity, preventing signal distortion and maintaining low bit error rates at 100G PAM4 per lane over the full 50-meter reach.
